After wondering about how it would be like to travel back to his home country Brazil for the first time after several years living in Toronto, Canada, filmmaker Diogo Ueno decides to set off on a journey right into the heart of the South American giant: the Northeast of the country.

 

The region, known to be a land of extreme contrasts, where the very rich shares with the very poor both the most stunning sceneries of the coast and the most droughty areas of the countryside, was toured by car in sixty days by the filmmaker and his companion.

 

Carrying only their bags of clothes and another handbag of video equipment, they vowed to expand perception and open mind to intuition in order to fully experience the events and situations that would unexpectedly arise before them. In each city visited through the nine states of the region, chance would eventually makes them run into a singular person willing to share their most intimate stories.

 

Those stories, blended with the accidental occurrences they both faced along the way, were recorded by Diogo's camera and became source for the creation of an extraordinary mosaic of real-life brazilian characters. One that will both inspire and encourage us to stay focused in the moment for the hidden wonders of ordinary life to be revealed to us.
